KAMO
CFW AW25’
Kamo International made its ready-to-wear debut at Copenhagen fashion week, presenting a variety of endlessly pair-able garments, refined by their meticulous stitchwork and high quality materials. The brand is dedicated to notions of “timeless artistry” whose designs are “an ode to manufacturing traditions, artisan skill, and human dignity”. The collection is composed of staples which would exemplify any wardrobe, existing to become “cherished classics”. Presenting high-quality staples like jeans, jackets, knitwear, Kamo simultaneously reifies its innovative range of eyewear with the AW25’ season.

This collection tips its hat, or rather ski goggles, to dark academia’s redefinition along a razor edge of vintage characteristics. There is something very “trendy academics on ski holiday” about this series of works. As if Kamo designed each garment with the wide ranging world of academia in mind. Individually and in combination, these pieces could easily be envisioned on a trip to Europe’s wintermost towns during holiday between terms. While refinement along stitching and sleek silhouettes is ever present, the brand remains playful with delicate touches. Seemingly DIY-added “K” and “Kamo” embroidery, akin to that of your favourite nan’s handiwork, are peppered intermittently.

The colour palette was muted but intentional, allowing knitwear textures alongside finely crafted Japanese denim, and sharp hemlines of coats to steal the show. Colourways remained complimentary of one another with tan, black, and white neutrals appearing alongside the occasional army green, bright orange, and vibrant royal blue. All-white briefs and matching long- sleeve tops were adorned with a blockish interpretation of the “Kamo” logo – popped onto the front in no-nonsense capacities. Models were fresh-faced, while hair was styled naturally and brushed to the side, displaying unique features alongside complementary eyewear and lush woollen scarves.

Kamo is a brand dedicated to refinement which doesn’t take itself too seriously. Jovial touches intermixed amidst high-brow materials and resolute hemlines really set this season’s offerings apart. Colour was intentionally injected but did not become an overbearing focal point. These decisive measures are precisely what allows the collection to become universally integrated into most wardrobes, allowing the onlooker to imagine each piece as they notch between hangers in their personal collections at home.
