Towards the end of her set, the British rapper leaked an untitled track to her upcoming mixtape “The Elephant” – an animal that serves as a leitmotif in her œuvre. The crowd went wild. Comments just hours later claimed her as the people’s princess.
She addressed the leak in an Instagram story the following day: “Yea I leaked my EP… Cus music belongs to the people… Link got took down now but we rock this month🐘”
Ledbyher, birth name Rachel Aisyah Diack, keeps it grounded. The artist dropped the ticket link for this exclusive set on her Discord just days before the event. Outside the venue, _h_q_i_ in London’s White City, an elephant. In that red-hot basement with a capacity of 150 people, Rachel brought on secret special guests 5EB, SLEW and SINN6R. Artists and the audience performed together, all with arms thrown over each other. Days later, her single “WHAT’S THE REASON?” passed one million streams.
The release of “REMEMBER, REMEMBER” last autumn established her new era of artistry.
