Submission Guidelines
Cold Magazine is daily produced and created by an editorial team based in London with content contributed by artists from around the world. If you’d like to submit your project, we encourage you to follow our detailed guidelines below. We accept unsolicited submissions and check them daily. Please, bear in mind you will only be contacted in case of acceptance.
General Project Submission Guidelines
- If you plan to submit your project, we accept completed works only. Sometimes, ongoing projects with a minimum of ten relevant images can be considered. Exceptions may apply, as we’re not robots.
- Files must be sent in .jpg format without white frames, borders, or watermarks. Please use a maximum of 2000px on the long edge and 300dpi. PDFs or other formats will not be accepted.
- Rename your .jpg files as follows: your-name-project-title-cold-submission-1 (2-3, etc.). The sequential number at the end will indicate your preferred order of the photos.
- Cold's photo editors will select the best cover image independently of your submission order, but all images will be reviewed and respected as much as possible.
- Include an updated bio to help us understand your vision. Provide a rich and exhaustive abstract of your submitted work to accompany your project submission.
Fashion Editorial Submission Process
- For fashion editorial submissions, in addition to the general submission guidelines:
- Include a PDF file with all credits clearly listed (e.g., photographer, stylist, models, makeup artist, etc.).
- Ensure that the credits are accurate and match the submitted images.
- Files must follow the general submission requirements: .jpg format, 2000px minimum on the long edge, and 300dpi. Rename files as per the format: your-name-project-title-cold-submission-1 (2-3, etc.).
- Fashion editorials without a PDF for credits will not be considered. To successfully submit your project, ensure all guidelines are followed.
- Cold reserves the right to select the best cover image for publication. Credits will be included as provided, so ensure clarity and accuracy.
Tips for a Successful Submission Process
Ensure your files meet the format and size requirements outlined above. Double-check the credits and abstract accompanying your project submission to avoid delays. Our team is committed to making the review process efficient and smooth for everyone who chooses to submit their project.
Final Thoughts on Submitting Your Project
