Fragmented visions

Art is often a reflection of the mind of those who create it, and in the case of Louis Wain, the famous painter of cats, his artistic journey becomes a poignant testament to schizophrenia.

This editorial explores how the illness, despite being self-defeating, can open the doors to new visual worlds, transforming the perception of reality.

Through his works, the artist shows us the transition from a figurative representation to a psychedelic maelstrom of shapes and colors, a journey that culminates in oblivion, where art becomes the highest expression of the dissolving mind.
