The Puppeteer

This editorial explores the fragile yet powerful journey from childhood into womanhood.

It is not a portrayal of a woman through a primitive or misogynistic lens, but rather a reflection of an individual who turns her focus inward — towards work, self-growth, and honesty with herself. She stands unadorned, unpretentious, and true, without the need to appear seductive or performative.

The first two looks capture the uncertainty of the child — a figure naive, clumsy, and unsure of her place in the world. Slowly, self-awareness emerges, accompanied by experiments and

searching. Then, comes the eruption of the environment: people around begin to act out roles, and the child tries to follow, to play the same games, to mimic the “dolls” of adulthood. The third look embodies this struggle — the weight of work and the desire to belong that almost enslaves.

Finally, the fourth look represents transcendence: the moment of becoming a woman in her own right, carrying strength, experience, and possibilities. No longer a doll in someone else’s play, she transforms into the puppeteer — shaping her own narrative with autonomy and grace.
