Vaquera FW25: Anarchy in Elegance at Paris Fashion Week

Vaquera has always been a fashion industry disruptor, and for Fall/Winter 2025, the brand demonstrated yet again that revolt and refinement can coexist in perfect disarray. The collection, presented at Paris Fashion Week once more, was a daring, unfiltered investigation of subversion, reimagining classic tailoring with an anarchic spirit that crossed the lines between streetwear, couture, and performance art.

After the first model rushed the runway, it was evident that Vaquera was not interested in following the rules. The collection included deconstructed forms, exaggerated proportions, and surprising fabric combinations, paying homage to DIY culture while keeping an undeniable air of refinement. Dramatic and huge lace bras dragged across the floor like bold assertions of grandeur, huge trench coats piled over ripped silk slips took on a distorted and even cyberpunk appearance. It was punk, but with increased chaos transformed into something intentional and hauntingly beautiful.

Massive pearl necklaces draped like armour, enveloping the torso in layers of shining splendour. Shirts and outerwear were hung on models with an intended looseness, conveying a sense of casual grandeur. Vaquera’s enormous tailoring felt less about traditional elegance and more about defying expectations, pushing fashion into a realm where humour and conceptual design collide. The oversized styling became a form of rebellion against restrictive silhouettes, against traditional luxury, and against the idea that fashion should always be wearable.

One of the most striking looks at the runway was the huge satin bra draped across the torso like a sculpture. The exaggerated silhouette elevated the intimate look to a bold, wearable statement, blurring the distinction between fashion and conceptual art. The exaggerated proportions, a Vaquera signature, gave the look a bizarre elegance while questioning traditional notions of femininity and desirability. The styling was equally striking, with smokey eyes, contributing to the rebellious, undone elegance that defines the brand’s look.

The collection’s raw energy was heightened by casting models of all identities and expressions strutting down the runway with an air of insurrection, adding to the brand’s continuous theme of inclusivity and self-expression. It was clear that Vaquera had once again cemented its position as a bold innovator in fashion. This was more than just a compilation; it was a manifesto. A declaration that fashion should not be polished and clean, but rather raw, expressive, and vibrant. Paris Fashion Week saw a display of polished elegance, but Vaquera reminded us that the fearless will shape the future of fashion.
