Living on My Own was photographed at Agri Village, a rural retreat in the Pavia countryside, and the location shapes everything about it. Wooden interiors glow amber, lawns are deep green, and a white farmhouse with shuttered windows stands in for the kind of house where you might spend a whole summer doing very little.
Photographer Michele Vitale treats the story as a diary of that solitude. Models Annalise (The Agency) and Vicki (Prodigy) appear together and apart: lying in the grass, leaning out of windows, sitting quietly inside. The pace is slow and the light is natural, with soft afternoon sun rather than flash.
Stylist Marianna Di Biagio works with a palette of blush, cream and faded florals. Slip dresses and loose knitwear come from Michel Piza, Giusy La Miranda, Atelier Emè, Kasai, Les Filles D’Eva, Marsèll and Essentiel Antwerp, a mix of established Italian and European labels and smaller ateliers. The clothes are light enough to sleep in and pretty enough to be photographed in, which is exactly the point.
With Piera Berdicchia on hair and Giovanni Iovine on make-up, both of The Green Apple Italia, and casting by Ruxandra Andreea Coroiu, the team creates a story about the luxury of being alone, and the clothes that suit it.
